The 7^th annual Diversnight event will take place in November 3^rd at locations all over the world! The date is now changed one month earlier in order to avoid weather related problems especially in the Nordic countries. In 2010 we had a great number of dive locations covered with ice and the temperature was even down to –20 °C.

This is a  very warm welcome to all event organisers and divers from previous years and of course all new dive locations and divers as well.

A short history in figures:

2005     351 divers in Norway.

2006     889 divers in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

2007     1859 divers in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and also Svalbard.

2008     2183 divers in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Egypt, Indonesia, France, Spain,         Faroe Islands and also Belgium

2009     2749 divers, 218 divesites and 20 countries

2010     1700 divers, 175 dive locations and 22 countries (and an arctic winter all over the Nordic countries)

2011     We have a strong feeling that this year’s event will be the largest Diversnight ever!!!

Diversnight is a social event, well known for example for the excellent cakes (especially a Norwegian Diversnight tradition) and great prizes.

Diversnight is a great way to show the public and potential divers how diving is not only a hobby for sunny and warm days. It is also way to get divers from different clubs and countries making something BIG together
